About us
Our story
Built for how it feels, not how it looks.
Bamburry began with one question: why do babies always reach for the oldest, most-washed piece of clothing they own?
Not the new one. The soft one. The one that has been through enough washes that the fabric finally gave way to something gentle.
We set out to make baby essentials that feel right from the very first wear. Not after twenty washes. From day one.
Founder
Vishudha
She spent years as an accountant in London — which meant understanding detail, questioning assumptions, and knowing that almost right is not right.
When she started looking at baby clothing, she began asking questions that most brands had stopped asking. Not about colour. Not about print. About fabric. What it is made of. How it behaves after multiple washes. What it actually feels like against newborn skin.
She left her career to build Bamburry full-time. Not because she wanted to build a brand — but because the standard she was looking for did not exist, and she decided to build it herself.
Co-Founder
Akash
Akash has spent years helping brands scale — across India and internationally. He understands what it takes to build something that lasts.
When Vishudha started building Bamburry, he was watching closely. The fabric swatches. The testing. The rejections. The refusal to move faster than the product was ready.
That is when it clicked. He joined not because it was the obvious business move, but because he recognised what serious looks like. He brought the structure, the scale experience, and the operational thinking that lets Vishudha focus on what she does best: getting the product right.
He is the reason Bamburry was never rushed.
Almost right is not right.
